The TECNIMAP Awards for eGovernment projects

11th Conference on Information Technology for the Modernisation of Public Administration

From 6 to 9 of April 2010, Zaragoza, the capital of Aragon, will host the 11th Conference on Information Technology for the Modernisation of Public Administration (TECNIMAP 2010).

TECNIMAP is the main European meeting on information technologies and telecommunications which brings together representatives of the different Public Administrations, as well as the sector's leading companies, and diverse experts related with this field. The TECNIMAP Conference is designed to be a space for the sharing of ideas, experiences and projects related to information technologies and public services.

The TECNIMAP Awards for eGovernment projects have become one of the elements of the Conferences which create the greatest expectation, and they have seen a high level of participation in previous editions. As a new feature in the 2010 edition, a new specific category has been created to recognise an outstanding European project or experience either from a European Union institution or one of the EU Member States. This all opens up the field to a much wider participation, making the Awards presented at Zaragoza the first of their kind within a Europeanist framework.
