New secretary
A new employee, Mårten Janerud, started on 16 August in the eGovernment Delegation secretariat. He will be responsible for the follow-up issues on eGovernment.

A Commission of Inquiry on the creation of an e-ID Board (Fi 2010:05) is being established.

The TECNIMAP Awards for eGovernment projects

From 6 to 9 of April 2010, Zaragoza, the capital of Aragon, will host the 11th Conference on Information Technology for the Modernisation of Public Administration (TECNIMAP 2010).

TECNIMAP is the main European meeting on information technologies and telecommunications which brings together representatives of the different Public Administrations, as well as the sector's leading companies, and diverse experts related with this field. The TECNIMAP Conference is designed to be a space for the sharing of ideas, experiences and projects related to information technologies and public services.

New agenda for cooperation on European public administration

During the Presidency of the European Union, Sweden is currently also chairing EUPAN, an informal network for European cooperation on public administration (the European Public Administration Network). Together with the coming Presidencies Sweden has developed medium term priorities and work programmes for EUPAN.

EU ministers: accessible, interactive and customised online public services in Europe by 2015

EU ministers have committed to developing smarter online public services for citizens and businesses by 2015. The Commission has welcomed this step forward in making eGovernment more accessible, interactive and customised. At the fifth Ministerial eGovernment Conference in Malmö (Sweden) today, EU ministers outlined a joint vision and policy priorities on how this should be delivered. eGovernment is a key step towards boosting Europe's competitiveness, benefiting from time and cost savings for citizens and businesses across Europe.
